London Lions women create history by winning the EuroCup

Big news in British basketball! A massive shoutout to the London Lions women's team for smashing records and making history by winning the Women’s EuroCup for the very first time! Can you believe it? Before this, no British women's team had ever even made it to the EuroCup final, let alone clinched the title.

In a packed Copper Box Arena, they went on to become Britain's first ever European champions, winning the Women's EuroCup. They beat Besiktas with a final score of 81-70 at the Copper Box Arena. Even though they lost the first leg in Turkey by seven points (75-68), they bounced back and won the return match 81-70, with a total score of 149-145 over two games.

MVP and American-Brit Karlie Samuelson led the hosts' individual scoring with a game-high 19 points, while her team-mates Megan Gustafson and Temi Fagbenle finished on 18 and 17 apiece. It's a huge achievement for the team and British basketball as a whole.

Congratulations to the London Lions women's team on this historic achievement, you've made us all proud!
