Applications are open for GLL Sport Foundation 2025/26

Are you an aspiring athlete at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or do you know an athlete that needs support?

The GLL Sport Foundation, has opened its annual award programme for new applications for those looking to join the UK’s largest independent athlete support programme.

Talented athletes who train at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are invited to apply for a range of support awards which include financial support, free access to sport facilities, physiotherapy, lifestyle mentoring and mental health support.

Applications are welcomed from aspiring athletes in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the free gym memberships and bursaries offered by the programme which has fostered talent up and down the country.

The GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) was launched 17 years ago by leisure operator and charitable social enterprise GLL, with the aim of supporting talented young athletes with funding and practical help.

GLL operate the leisure facilities in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - under the ‘Better’ brand. The programme continues to widen and deepen the opportunities that come through sport across all communities. In 2024, GSF supported 68 athletes in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with a cumulative value of £37,400.

GSF awards include free access to Better Gyms and Leisure Centres across the UK with the application window opening from 20th December 2024 and closing on 20th February 2025.
