Families, sports enthusiasts, and visitors from all over London came together to partake in a wide range of free sports hall activities and fitness classes, making the event a memorable experience for everyone involved. From badminton and basketball to table tennis and fitness classes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Even the little ones were not left out, as Little Giants joined the festivities with an open volleyball session.
No anniversary celebration would be complete without delectable treats, and Copper Box Arena did not disappoint. Guests gathered around to witness the cutting of a grand anniversary cake. Cupcakes adorned with the arena's logo added a touch of sweetness to the festivities, delighting taste buds and hearts alike.
Reflecting on a decade of success, we proudly opened our doors to an astounding 3,146,774 visitors since its grand opening in 2013.
The arena has played host to a thrilling assortment of events, from high-profile esports competitions like League of Legends and Apex Legends to adrenaline-pumping boxing matches featuring YouTube sensation KSI. Audiences have also been treated to captivating performances from renowned musical artists like Dizzee Rascal, enthralling skateboarding exhibitions, and the intense competition of the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup.
But it's not just about the grand spectacles we’ve always embraced smaller, community-focused activities that bring people together. From local tournaments to grassroots initiatives, the venue has been a hub for fostering community spirit and promoting an active lifestyle.
As the third largest arena in London, we have proudly served as the home for the London Lions, the reigning British Basketball League champions, with the women's team also achieving championship glory. Additionally, the London Pulse made history by winning the league title a mere six years after their formation.
