Riot Games, the developer of one of the most popular games in the world, League of Legends, has announced that it will host the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) tournament at Copper Box Arena from Tuesday the 2nd of May to Sunday the 21st of May.
MSI is an annual tournament that takes place in between the spring and summer seasons of the League of Legends Championships (LCS). It brings together some of the best League of Legends teams from around the world to compete in a thrilling high-stakes showdown with China's Royal Never Give Up looking to win their 3rd consecutive championship. This year’s edition of the tournament will feature 13 teams instead of last year’s 11 and the Play-In Stage and Bracket Stage will both be double-elimination.
With excitement building and anticipation growing, the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational is sure to be an unforgettable experience for both players and fans alike. It will feature strategic and fast-paced gameplay and is a chance for teams to showcase regional strength midway through the season.
The event is expected to draw in thousands of attendees from around the world, cementing Copper Box and London’s reputation as a hub for esports events.

Presale tickets for the Mid-Season Invitational at Copper Box Arena go on sale on February 21st, 10am GMT and general sale is available on the February 23rd, 10am GMT.
