Basketball is back in the capital as the London Lions return to Copper Box Arena for what promises to be an electrifying 2026/27 season.
Get ready for another season of fast-paced action, big plays and an electric atmosphere as the London Lions return to their home court at Copper Box Arena.
After a historic 2025/26 campaign that saw the Lions claim all four domestic trophies, the team is back with more silverware in its sights as they look to defend their Super League Basketball Championship title.
Your home for basketball in London
There’s nothing quite like experiencing live basketball from the stands. From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, expect high-intensity action, big moments and plenty of noise as the Lions take on some of the best teams from across the country.
The 2026/27 Super League Basketball season also welcomes a new team to the competition, with Liverpool Basketball joining the league and taking the total number of teams to 10. Each team will play 36 regular-season games across a 27-week campaign.
And there are plenty of opportunities to catch the action at Copper Box Arena, with home fixtures against the likes of Newcastle Eagles, Liverpool Basketball, Leicester Riders, Sheffield Sharks, Surrey 89ers, Manchester Basketball, Bristol Flyers and Cheshire Phoenix throughout the season.

The Lions’ home Championship campaign gets underway on Sunday 20th September, when Newcastle Eagles visit.
Just one week later, on Sunday 27th September, the Lions welcome new boys Liverpool Basketball to London for what is sure to be a special occasion.
Pre-season action
Before the Championship gets underway, the Lions will warm up for the new season by hosting the inaugural London Lions Invitational at Copper Box Arena on 10 and 11 September.
The two-day pre-season tournament will bring some of European basketball’s biggest names to the capital, with the Lions joined by Žalgiris Kaunas, Paris Basketball and Śląsk Wrocław. London open the tournament against Śląsk Wrocław on Thursday 10 September at 5:30pm, before the third-place game and final take place the following evening.
