A New Era: Tautvydas Sabonis takes charge
London Lions have confirmed the appointment of Tautvydas Sabonis as their new Head Coach. The 33-year-old Lithuanian arrives from Žalgiris Kaunas, one of Europe’s most storied clubs, where he quickly rose through the ranks and most recently served as Assistant Coach with their EuroLeague side.
Widely regarded as one of the brightest young minds in European basketball, Sabonis now takes on his first head coaching role. His arrival signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Lions as they look to establish themselves as a force both in the SLB (Super League Basketball) and on the EuroCup stage.
