We’re levelling up at Copper Box Arena!

Copper Box Arena, which has been open to the public for a little over 10 years and has welcomed more than 3,000,000 visitors to date, is currently undergoing a transformative refurbishment to bring new health and fitness facilities to customers in spring 2024.

Copper Box Arena has already established a vibrant health and fitness community since its opening after the London 2012 Games, but it is now levelling up to improve and modernise its fitness offering, promising an enhanced workout experience for our existing members and new customers alike.

With works scheduled to begin in early February 2024, the expansion of the health and fitness suite and fitness class studios at Copper Box Arena is a significant step towards creating a dynamic fitness environment. The work being undertaken aims to provide a broader range of activities and classes within the venue, adding exceptional value for members and will continue to provide a range of flexible membership options.

There will be temporary disruption to the gym to make way for our new equipment, we'll be closing the gym temporarily from 3pm on Sunday 10th until 12pm on Wednesday 13th March. During this period, you will be upgraded to UK wide access, allowing you to use all our other GLL facilities!

The changing rooms will be closed for refurbishment from Tuesday 2nd April for a three week period at Copper Box Arena. There will also be minor disruption in the gym for decorating, as part of our big refurbishment to improve our gym offering. Fitness classes will still be running as usual.

Stuart Hutchison, General Manager at Copper Box Arena, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating: "We’re thrilled to embark on this exciting journey of enhancing our fitness offerings. Copper Box Arena has always been a great sporting and events venue, but with this refurbishment, we’re taking it to the next level by offering top notch fitness facilities.

“Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or someone taking their first steps in the gym, the new facilities at Copper Box Arena will provide an exciting new space for you to make the most of.”
